What Is Combination Skin?

Let’s look at what combination skin is so you know that, importantly, you’re looking at the right skincare for your skin type. Combination skin is really 2 skin types in one, oily and dry. Often with excess oil in the t-zone (the forehead, nose and chin) and dryness mainly in the cheek area. Many consider this skin type as ideal and more balanced. However, it can be tricky finding the perfect regime to maintain both the oily and dry areas. Still not sure about what type of skin you have? Find out here.

Skincare Tips For Combination Skin

First, take a look at the products which you’re already using, they could be making your skin worse. If you’re applying a moisturiser which is too rich, this will be too heavy for the oily areas, potentially causing breakouts. Similarly, if you’re applying oil reducing products to dry skin areas, this will only make them worse. At glo we have worked hard on developing products which are specifically designed for combination skin. These products have added hydration for the Dry Skin areas and mattifying effects for the Oily Skin. Here are some key products which you can use to combat combination skin:
  • Hydrating Gel Cleanser: Your starting point with any skincare regime should be a good cleanser. This gel cleanser gently cleanses, hydrates and helps to maintain the delicate moisture balance of combination skin.
  • Conditioning Hydration Cream: This daily moisturiser improves dry and dehydrated skin with an antioxidant-rich blend of hydrating ingredients.
  • Contour Eye Lift: Every skin type can benefit from a good eye cream in it’s routine. Our Contour Eye Lift improves texture, skin tone and reduces the signs of ageing.
  • Balancing Mist: This refreshing toner is designed to hydrate and balance skin with varied oil production. Light mattifying effect and purifying ingredients target an oilier t-zone, while soothing hydrators and antioxidants benefit a drier cheek area.
Or if you want to try out smaller sizes of the products as a full pre-boxed regime, take a look at our Combination Skin Set. If you follow our skincare tips as part of a regular daily routine you'll be more likely to see results then when you only use products occasionally. Enjoy hydrating and purifying your skin for a flawless, radiant finish. skincare tips combination skin set
