Other than direct effects of not getting enough sleep, there are also some indirect causes of skin damage. Sleeping less than 8 hours a day results in tiredness and this, in turn, increases your stress levels. Stress is a well-known cause of developing skin problems. When stressed, your immune system weakens and the organism becomes more susceptible to infection and inflammation. If you want your skin to look healthy and attractive, you should pay more attention to the amount of quality sleep that you get. Go to sleep a couple of hours earlier and you will see the effect this has on your skin. Remember that quality sleep is the best remedy for skin problems.
