Airport security is possibly one of the most stressful parts of travelling. Especially when it comes to travelling with cosmetics. You want to take everything you own, but equally, know that's just not possible. What we like to do is pack smart rather than light. Find out how to do the same with your makeup below.
Pack Your Makeup as You Apply It
Our favourite trick when it comes to travelling with makeup is to pack as we do our makeup routine. That way you can be sure you don't forget anything but equally that you won't take a lot of products that you won't necessarily use.
So, go through your usual makeup routine and pack the essentials as you go. Be tough with yourself and ask what do you
really need. For example with
lipstick, it's tempting to grab a whole selection of shades, but once you're away you only ever really wear one or two shades. We recommend going for one bold shade and one neutral shade.
Plus our
Cream Glaze Crayons are
moisturising all-in-one pencil, gloss and lipstick combinations. So you get the hydration you need with conditioning Mango Oily and Shea Butter as well as impressive pigmentation payoff. What's more, it has a built-in sharpener in the lid making this
lip crayon a no-brainer for travelling.
Makeup Palettes
To really minimise your makeup bag, take makeup palettes so you don't have to bulk up your bag with lots of different bits-and-bobs.
Liquids
It's hard to cut corners when it comes to liquids, there are some things you just can't go without such as shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen and body cream. What you can do is find alternatives that are airport-friendly. For example, you can switch your
liquid foundation to a
powder foundation or choose a
powder-to-liquid cleanser rather than a
liquid cleanser.
One of our favourite products is
Pressed Base which is one of our
best-selling foundations. It's a
mineral powder foundation that provides incredible coverage and is suitable for all skin types!
Equally, a fantastic travel-friendly skincare product is the
Daily Polishing Cleanser. A
two-in-one cleanser and exfoliator, this unique formulation starts off as a powder and when mixed with water can be massaged into the skin to penetrate pores, decongest skin and brighten the complexion. With a mix of super-ingredients such as
Salicylic Acid and
Jojoba Beads, you can't go wrong with this fantastic
combination skin cleanser.
