Organic Face Powders

Glo Skin Beauty UK has a range of non comedogenic face powders, mineral powder concealers and finishing powder makeup that will have you looking your best while also helping to deal with any underlying skin conditions you are dealing with.

For example, our Protecting Powder contains titanium dioxide to protect your skin from environmental damage and is so gentle that it can be used by anyone regardless of skin type and also if you are prone to acne or rosacea.

So, to put it simply, the pressed powders in our range are more than just beauty products – they also care for your dry and oily skin by providing protection and nourishment from antioxidants and minerals. Now let's get in to some more specifics.

What is finishing powder?

Finishing powder is a type of product that is lightly dusted over the skin in certain areas of the face over the top of other makeup in order to make it last longer, among other benefits.

For example, during summer months or even while attending long events in heated buildings, your face can start to get a bit too shiny. This is due to oil production and sweat, but a finishing powder helps fight the shine.

Our mineral finishing powder products such as the Perfecting Powder are non-comedogenic as well, which means your pores can breathe, giving even more benefits over other powders.

Another benefit of using a finishing powder is that it can help diminish the appearance of fine lines while also giving your skin a more even complexion, without feeling like your face is bogged down with product. This is because our powders are so light, and you don't need to use a lot in one application.

When choosing the right makeup setting powder for you, try to find a shade that is close to your natural skin tone. The idea is to go for a translucent finish that does not interfere with any of your other makeup – it's supposed to enhance your makeup, not detract from it.

How to apply finishing powder:

  • Do it last: Technically, you can apply the powder before your mineral powder foundation but most experts recommend leaving it until last to get the most benefit. So, get everything else the way you want it and then proceed.
  • The brush: Some of our powder products come with their own brush. For those that don't, apply it with a wide brush with soft bristles.
  • Just a little bit: Particularly for first-timers, just start with a light sprinkling of powder in the product's lid or a small bowl. Lightly press the brush in to the product and move it around to evenly coat it.
  • Put it on: Start in the middle of your face and work outward with light, circular brushing. Be gentle, try to get an even dusting across the surface, and don't forget your neck.

To complete the look of a luminous glow without the oily shine, try using our Illuminating Primer before applying your foundation. It goes on sheer and also helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines while reflecting light to give you a more youthful, glowing look. Or, if you know you'll be out in the sun a lot, try our SPF 30 Tinted Primer for even more sun protection, or browse our range of natural face primer products.
